Health Walks
If a walking group is not for you, but you want to start walking for health after a period of illness for example, then the following websites give the location of walks lead by trained staff or volunteers. These tend to be short, flat walks, lasting 30 minutes or so, and have the advantage of the social, friendly atmosphere of a walking group while specifically aimed at those for whom longer rambles are not appropriate.
